We are looking for individuals who are passionate about building community and being part of the inaugural NeighbourGood team visualising and creating the first village in Golden Bay, New Zealand.

At each stage in creating an ecovillage membership will evolve. The rest of this page outlines our draft proposals for membership levels once we have found our land and gathered there to build our community.
DRAFT GUEST MEMBER
Guests are people who have no current intention to join the NeighbourGood.
OUR FUTURE MEMBERSHIP LEVELS
One aspect we still need to add is what is expected of villagers in terms of regular mahi input into the running of the village.
DRAFT VISITOR MEMBER
Visitors want to find out if NeighbourGood is for them.
IN: All levels have a clear pathway for reaching the next level.
Each level has a different term.

DRAFT: PROSPECTIVE MEMBER
A prospective member is someone who has lived in the NeighbourGood for a term as a visitor and is now pursuing membership.
Each level moves closer to full membership.
DRAFT: RESIDENT MEMBER
A resident member is a Neighbour who has completed Academy Level I training and who may now rent to own a home.

DRAFT: FULL MEMBER
As a full member, a neighbour has all rights and responsibilities and is a lifetime member of the NeighbourGood with all the benefits of the resources of the community. Money paid to rent to own is now credited towards the purchase of a dwelling.
